Breaking Down the Top Three Ransomware Groups: A Look at the Dominant Threats in Cybersecurity

Three ransomware groups were responsible for nearly half of all ransomware attacks in the last month, as reported by cybersecurity analysts at Check Point.
Among the top three groups, Qilin accounted for 20% of attacks, followed by Akira at 12% and Dragonforce at 8%.
The attacks targeted organizations in various sectors, with the US being the most affected, representing 52% of victims.
Ransomware attacks continue to pose a significant threat to organizations globally, and steps such as applying security patches, enforcing multi-factor authentication, and ensuring a well-resourced security team can help mitigate the risk.
