Agents Unleashed: Microsoft's New AI Security Initiative to Fight Cyber Threats

Microsoft launched Project Perception, an agentic security system that uses Red, Blue, and Green agents to identify, investigate, and take corrective action on potential security risks.
The system is designed to improve security posture over time and is similar to Google's AI Threat Defense platform.
Microsoft also introduced MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, a generative AI model for cybersecurity that outperformed competitors in vulnerability analysis.
The system achieved a 95.95% success rate in benchmarking.
The company sees 100 trillion signals a day and believes in the need for agents to fight agents in cybersecurity.
Project Perception will be available for all Microsoft customers from August 3.
