The company suspects unauthorized access to decrypted variables containing sensitive information like API keys.
Although the incident primarily targeted AI inference providers, Railway advises all users to rotate secrets and credentials.
With around 4.8 million users, the service stores deployment settings in environment variables.
All deployments are currently paused, and users are urged to check for unusual activity in service logs.
Railway is working to restore services and will notify compromised accounts directly.
